Can’t get enough of this place with him. ❤️
I don’t hate that I find myself at Our Lady, Star of the Sea in Oceanside about once a year. I mean, I guess it’s alright here🤪. Happy Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord! “Because of His mercy He saved us by the bath of rebirth and renewal by he Holy Spirit, whom He richly poured out in us through Jesus Christ our Savior, that we might be justified by His grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life.”💕 Titus 3: 5-7 . . . #catholic #christian #catholicfaith #catholicism #bissisterhood #jesus #prayer #catholicliving #catholicsisters #projectblessed #peaceinchrist #christianliving #jesuslovesyou #catholicism #catholicblogger #blogger #heartofchrist #holyspirit #catholicconnect #philotheafound #hope #catholicnerdout #alltheprettychurches
Couldn’t have asked for a better trip. It was beyond wonderful...truly magical!!! I swear I teared up around every corner! (Also, not sure who gets more excited about the characters—me, or the kids! Haha (It’s me🤷🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🤣)). We did three days and loved every minute! So thankful for this family time at the happiest place on earth and can’t wait until next year...riiighhht @jmontgomery13 ??😉😉😉😆😆🤷🏻♀️(A girl can dream! Mickey says so! Haha).
Just got to Cali today, and sitting by the beach always gets me thinking about the expansiveness of our Lords’s love for us. It’s as awe inspiring as it is overwhelming. This past weekend got me thinking about my first real big encounter with the Lord. It was a lot like the @focuscatholic SEEK conference (but for high schoolers), and as I watched all the SEEK updates this weekend, I couldn’t help but feel so joyful knowing that so many of you were over there experiencing God’s love in a new and deep way. Conferences like that can be truly life changing—they were for me! I wanted to share with you that after my experience, I came home and wept. I was scared. I had my first real encounter with the Lord, and it was big and powerful and I was high on his love and I never wanted to come down. I was so afraid of losing what I had found there. I was scared I couldn’t find that at home. But here’s the thing: if you’re afraid of losing the “highs” of God’s love, know that in all likeliness, you probably will. God’s love isn’t just some incredible FEELING of love you’ve experienced...it’s an ENCOUNTER. You’ve encountered the risen Lord, the King of all King’s who loves you more than you can ever even imagine. Don’t ever get discouraged if you lose the “feeling” of His love...His love is always abiding and what you encountered was real, and deeply personal. Use that encounter to forge ahead with courage! Seek Him in the Sacraments-especially in the most Holy Eucharist. Work hard to love Him when it’s not all lights, inspiration, and music. Serve Him even when you don’t feel Him near. Trust that He’s always with you, no matter the circumstances you face in your home life. He is with you. He sees you. He knows you. He loves you. Don’t ever forget that! He has called you by name! ❤️
It may not look like the most glamorous way to end a date night (in the cold/cough aisle at the grocery store—my amazing hubby is such a trooper), but we just had our dream date (an idea @stephanieweinert shared on her blog—highly recommend!!!) and it was one of the best dates ever!! You should definitely take the time to break down your dreams and goals with your spouse. What a great way to start the year! 2018, you were so good to us! 2019, we’re coming for you!! Have you ever done something like this for a date night? Would love to hear about it! I hope you have the best start to the New Year, friends! ❤️
